Painting dedicated to the philosopher and writer Umberto Eco.
Eco, originally from Alessandria, was the author of numerous essays and novels with interesting ideas and important reflections.
Given the times we live in, I recommend reading some of his texts that are contemporary and easy to understand, including "Eternal Fascism" and "Migrations and Intolerance".
"Eliminating racism does not mean showing and convincing ourselves that Others are not different from us, but understanding and accepting their diversity".
Project commissioned by the Municipality of Alessandria and promoted by the SAI project of Cissaca.
Painted on the facade of the social housing in the Cristo neighborhood at the end of June 2024.

Eco, originario di Alessandria, è stato autore di numerosi saggi e romanzi con spunti interessanti e riflessioni importanti.
Visti i tempi che corrono consiglio la lettura di alcuni dei suoi testi che risultano contemporanei e di facile comprensione tra cui "Il fascismo eterno" e "Migrazioni e intolleranza".
"Eliminare il razzismo non vuol dire mostrare e convincersi che gli Altri non sono diversi da noi, ma comprendere e accettare la loro diversità ".
Progetto commissionato dal Comune di Alessandria e promosso dal progetto SAI del Cissaca.
Realizzato sulla facciata della casa popolare del quartiere Cristo alla fine di Giugno 2024.
